Mammoth Mountain Chalets, a unique set of mountain cabins, are located 100 yards from the main ski complex and have close access to the 11,053 summit. Surrounding each cabin is plenty of open forest for hiking, biking and sledding. Stay with us and enjoy the year-round beauty that is Mammoth Mountain.

Enjoy a free ride in one of our WWII vintage snowcats!

The majority of our chalets are nestled in the woods off the driven path. In the winter when you arrive and depart access is provided free of charge in our enclosed snow cat taxi!

These cats were built in the 1940's to transport troops during World War II and subsequently became the primary mode of transportation for uphill skiing prior to the advent of rope-tows and chairlifts.

For those of you who stay in one of our 20 rental cabins that are situated in the Sierra Nevada mountains, we will shuttle you and your belongings in at arrival and out on your day of departure. Don't worry, the pathways to the cabins are packed and groomed daily and are an easy walk or ski of 25-250 yards from the parking facility.

Staying in one of the cabins not requiring a snowcat shuttle ride? If the staff has the time they will happily provide a ride!
